How do we assess you?
You will be assessed alongside other candidates against the key requirements of the position and our key selection criteria. Our key selection criteria are a list of requirements that we are looking for in our candidates. Selection criteria provide us with a set of measureable standards against which we can assess your application.
Our key selection criteria include –

Using the STAR Approach
We prefer candidates use the STAR approach in response to the selection criteria as follows -
| Situation | A brief outline of the situation or setting. Who was involved? What was your role? |
| Task | What did you do? What happened next? |
| Action | How did you do it? |
| Result | What was the outcome? What feedback did you receive? |
When writing your responses to the selection criteria, you should also:
- use examples from work or your studies
- focus on your own involvement in various situations (use ‘I ’ rather than ‘we')
- provide examples from within the last two years wherever possible.
The STAR approach can also be used to respond to scenarios in an interview.
