Our Directors

Hands-on Systems is run by a board of Directors.  Our Directors are from all walks of life and below you will find a brief summary of their experience.

John Munnelly, CEO

'I have been at Hands-on Systems since 1997, a Director since 2006 and the CEO since 2010.  I studied Economics at Sydney University and then went on to do a Masters of Management - MGSM.  My first job was a
Checkout Bag Boy at Woolworths. 

My interests are family, friends, red wine, cars, politics.'

Gene Clewett - Founder of Hands-on Systems

'I set up Hands-on Systems in 1985 and in 2010 retired as CEO. Prior to my Hands-on Systems days I completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Commerce at UNSW and became a fellow of CPA Australia. Whilst at university I gained the UNSW Commerce Faculty Merit Award.

Over the last few years I have been involved in buying and renovating houses and have enjoyed lots of hands-on involvement including demolishing, landscaping, plumbing, concreting, carpentry, plastering, tiling, and painting. I also enjoy gym. cycling, sailing and movies.'

Uwe Schlagmueller – Director – Consulting Services

'I have been working at Hands-on Systems as a Director of Consulting Services for 11 years. I studied Mathematics at Julius Maximilians Universitaet in Wuerzburg, Germany before starting my career at IBM. I am a Microsoft Certified Business Management Solutions Professional.

In my spare time I enjoy sailing and many different types of music. '

Robert Davidson – Director Engineering and Infrastructure 

'I have been working at Hands-on Systems as the Director of Engineering and Infrastructure for 18 years. I completed a Bachelor of Engineering at Newcastle University and started my career as a computer operator in a Steelworks.

My spare time is focused on spending time with my children.'

Steven Wong - Director, Software Development

'I have been working as the Director of Software Development since 2006 and at Hands-on Systems since 1999.  I have a BSc. Information Systems, Master of Management at MGSM and am a Microsoft Certified DBA and Developer. 

In my spare time I like to watch movies and play video games.  I am also interested in manga and comic book collectibles as well as electronics/gadgets.'
