Diabetes Australia uses Bing maps to analyse the geographic impact of diabetes

April 01, 2010

With access to a large collection of data pertaining to diabetes prevalence around Australia, Diabetes Australia (D.A.) wanted to give this data a mapping dimension in order to gain deeper insight and analysis into any possible geographic correlations with the disease.

Using Bing Maps and Silverlight technologies, D.A. along with solution provider Hands-on Systems, created a powerful location intelligence solution on its Web site that gives political analysts and researchers a more accurate view of the problem.

As a result, the site can help them make better decisions and develop clearly-targeted programs to deal with diabetics. Take a look at the Diabetes maps.
