Dynamics Mobility
Based on Microsoft technology, Hands-on Systems has developed Hands-on Mobile©: a solution that makes the features of ERP and CRM accessible via a mobile device like a PDA or Smartphone. The solution provides a highly intuitive tool that is easy to use and maintain. In addition, the solution can be easily deployed to additional users, adapted to future changes and expanded to other applications.
Easy to use templates are being developed for logistics, warehousing, retail and sales applications to enable the user to get up and running on the device fast.
Challenges
The common industry challenge for organisations is be able to connect to the ERP and CRM solution through the same interface. 85% of staff regularly require interaction with your ERP solutions but only 15% are directly connected to it. Sales order registration whilst on the road, quality inspection, service management of products and parts, picking and delivery of goods and consuming stock for production (shop floor control) are all activities where a mobile solution connected to your ERP system improves the productivity of your staff and accuracy of your data.
Users
There are 3 mobility roles:
Warehouse mobility, Retail mobility and Sales mobility
Each role provides users with the ability to complete their tasks in a faster and more accurate manner.
Benefits
Improve customer satisfaction – your employees can access customer information faster than before allowing them to be more responsive to the customer’s needs.
– your employees can access customer information faster than before allowing them to be more responsive to the customer’s needs.
Inventory accuracy – scanning stock with a mobile device improves the accuracy of inventory information and reduces errors . This can result in improving cash flow and future buying of certain stock.
Price accuracy – Prices come directly from your ERP solution direct to the mobile device. Specifically for Retail, it makes the job of price checks and ticketing much more effective.
Improved productivity – No double data entry is needed which saves employees time and provides greater data accuracy. The elimination/reduction in paperwork reduces environmental costs and saves time as much of the information is managed on the device and therefore does not need to be printed,. For example, timesheet information can be submitted on the device and made available to the appropriate person within the system.
Multi-language capabilities - enables non-English speakers to start work with limited training.
User access management – provides the ability to centrally manage who has access and what goes on to the device. This ensures IT support costs are kept to a minimum.
