Rojone have invested extensively in high quality radio, 3G, 4G and telecommunications test equipment, machinery and technology, to meet its customer’s needs. This capability has lead to the design & manufacture of many unique products, to the level where in-house manufacturing now represents over 40% of their annual turnover.

Rojone has offices in Sydney and Perth and employs over 50 professional staff.

The need for change:
Rojone needed to update their business management systems as they previously had 6 outdated databases to manage their business and were faced with many issues extracting data and generating monthly sales reports.

Rojone chose Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 to manage their end to end business processes, to enhance their team’s overall productivity and collaboration, and to be able to make more informed decisions quickly.

Rojone chose Microsoft Partner KPMG Hands-on Systems to implement Microsoft Dynamics.

How has Microsoft Dynamics improved your warehouse management?

John said, ‘Prior to installing Dynamics NAV we were flying by knowledge as opposed to facts when it came to planning and stock movements. Now our planning has improved and we have complete visibility into our stock levels and movements’

Microsoft Dynamics saves warehouse staff 3 hours a week so now they can focus on the business rather than managing a system. Previously the warehouse staff didn’t know what was coming in to the warehouse and when, until the truck turned up, now they have complete visibility and can plan shipments and goods receiving.

What are changes you have experienced in the Financial Management Team?
‘For Finance we have seen real time savings with staff members saving over 2 hours a day. With Microsoft Dynamics purchase orders, accounts payable, accounts receivable and the ability to create statements are now done directly in Dynamics, this saves us time and effort and gives us one system of record for data.’

Microsoft Dynamics can also handle multiple currencies which saves Rojone significant time when creating quotes in other currencies for some of their larger clients.

On the adoption of Microsoft Dynamics to run their business

John Brady said….. ‘Microsoft Dynamics has been well received in our organisation, it is a stable system and people aren’t frightened of using it. If staff don’t know how to do a task they simply logon to Microsoft’s training portal or go to You Tube and find the relevant training videos, which has been great in guiding employees through learning and adopting the system in our business’

One of the other great benefits Rojone have seen since implementing Dynamics is that they have had no downtime so they can run their business without interruption and provide customers with a much better customer experience.

John Brady went on to say ‘As Microsoft Dynamics backs data up automatically we save over 2 hours a week not having to do manual backups’ John went on to say ‘We also save 2.5 hours a month from no longer having to wait for the system to run sales reports, previously we couldn’t use the system if the reports were being run and now we can access them when we need them with real time information’.

How did you find working with KPMG Hand-on Systems as a Microsoft Partner?
‘We chose KPMG Hands-on Systems as they had the skills and knowledge to complete the project.’

KPMG Hands-on Systems also designed and implemented a new network to replace their old one managed by another IT Provider. The project involved an audit and design of a new solution, installation and setup, and finally migration from previous IT supplier’s hardware to KPMG Hands-on Systems supplied hardware. The existing network virtual servers were migrated with minimal downtime to a VMware platform using IBM hardware and is now managed by KPMG Hands-on Systems using Kaseya monitoring.
